Preparation for the groundworks for Phase 2 are now getting underway. Following a procurement exercise, we have appointed local firm, John McGeady & Son Ltd to undertake the works, which are funded by the Scottish Government’s Vacant & Derelict Land Investment Programme. The initial works will involve installing security fencing and gates around the site, and clearance of the line of the 1km track, as well as the site of a clubhouse and car park. We had a good kick-off meeting on site, here shown with Rowena Colpitts of PT&E, who are project manager; Gregor Yeoman (CCP Secretary); George Wallace, John McGeady & Son; and Tom A’Hara, TP&E. The first work is expected early in the New Year, and we’ll be posting pictures of progress here.
