Our activity team
Meet our activity team who organise and run our activities. They are supported by a number of volunteers. You could see any of us at our activities – now you can put faces to names!
John Kiernan
Project Coordinator
John has a enthusiasm for community development, enjoys a leisurely cycle ride, and is keen to learn how to get involved with bike trials. John works behind the scenes with social media, advertising, coordination of the activity workers and, occasionally steps in to deliver activities at the park!
What’s your favourite part of working at Clyde Cycle Park ?
“I love watching new people coming to Clyde Cycle Park learning how to cycle and seeing how cycling can improve their confidence!”

John can walk on his hands and plays five sports a week!
Mandy Benhach

Mandy “enjoys our social led rides and she looks forward to developing longer rides and rides with a purpose.”
“CCP is really unique as it is a place where everyone can enjoy being outdoors, they can socialise and have fun on our bikes.”
Fun fact about Mandy:
Mandy can speak Spanish and Portuguese, and lived previously in Latin America.
Louise Smith
Activity Worker
“I ride all sorts of bikes. I’ve ridden the velodrome in the past, and also do some cyclocross and mountain biking. I enjoy a bit of hillwalking and camping too, and gardening – anything that involves spending time outside! I’ve enjoyed getting to try new types of bike at the park with the BMX and trials sessions – my skills need some work though.”
A highlight of this year:
Being able to give children new bikes through the rock up and ride programme.

“I get so much joy from cycling, whether commuting or going on adventures, and I love supporting others to get riding – at all levels. I’m excited to be working with all the lovely people at Clyde Cycle Park and be part of this brilliant project and facility. My biggest two-wheeled adventure was a cycle tour to Palestine 10 years ago. Back in Scotland, I love packing up my bike and exploring the Highlands.”

Paul is our treasurer at Clyde Cycle Park. He is a keen cyclist !
Carol Thompson
Board Trustee
Carol Thompson was the first staff member for Clyde Cycle Park and in her role as Project Coordinator really kick started the activities at the prl. Although she is now full time Project Manager at Sunny Cycles, she is still involved with Clyde Cycle Park in a Trustee role so she can continue the journey with the park.
Kimberley Tooke
Board Trustee
Kimberley is a digital communications expert, with a passion for inclusive communications. She enjoys road cycling and bike packing.

All of our sessions are free, but where possible, we appreciate a small donation. All donations are used to keep Clyde Cycle Park operating and offering activities to our local community.
